Hi there, I\u2019m Sophia. <\/span>I am genuinely interested in who you are, your journey and what brought you here. It is my goal to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to share, express and discover.<\/b> Together we will explore your struggles, help you find meaning as well as strategies to cope and grow on this journey called life. I use an eclectic approach tailored to your needs. <\/span><\/p>\n

I specialize in trauma, complex trauma, dissociation, anxiety\/phobias, food and <\/strong>body image, eating disorders, anger, sexuality, and relationships.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have worked in a variety of settings such as the Institute of Fundamentals and Interventions for Eating Disorders and Associated Disorders as well as at the Institute of Medical Psychology and Medical Sociology of the Technical University of Dresden, Germany. In Montr\u00e9al, I have practiced within an Employee Assistance Program where I worked with people on a variety of issues mainly from a solution-focused lens. I conducted risk assessments and worked with people in a suicidal or existential crisis. I continued my training in a private practice setting where I was trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and mindfulness based approaches.
<\/span>
At the Healing Tree Psychology and Wellness Center I am further developing my humanistic, trauma-<\/strong>
informed lens.<\/strong> My work is grounded in somatic and mindfulness-based practices and I mainly work with
the Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach to support emotional healing and self-understanding. In
addition, I am currently completing my training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
(EMDR) therapy to further support trauma processing and integration.<\/p>\n

<\/span>I studied Psychology in Germany and have a M.Sc. in Psychology from the TU Dresden (2017). I
completed my equivalency program with the Ordre des Psychologues du Qu\u00e9bec (OPQ) and became a
licensed Psychologist in Qu\u00e9bec in 2025. I\u2019m also a licensed Systemic Coach (CISK) with Ludwig-
Maximilian University of Munich (LMU).<\/p>\n

<\/span>I\u2019m here to be with you along the way, and provide and support you with whatever you need at this moment if it is guidance, company, acceptance or something completely different. You tell me and I\u2019ll be there!<\/span><\/p>\n
