Unlike other psychologists and psychotherapists, we do more than just alleviate the "symptoms" of your issues; we explore the underlying reasons for your particular struggles which allows for a more comprehensive understanding and longer-lasting change.
If you are finally ready to deal with the underlying issues; willing to face the painful experiences, memories and feelings that you have been avoiding; if you’re not looking for a band-aid solution and you understand that ‘real’ change takes time, dedication and commitment; if you are ready for a therapy process that is honest, transparent and challenging; and you want life-long changes, we can help.
If you’re looking for help that works, for the long-term, then you’re in the right place! We go beyond just “managing symptoms” and offer strategies to heal from the root and develop the skills for lasting change.

I am a student volunteer here at the Healing Tree Psychology and Wellness Centre. I work alongside other volunteers and professionals in the Centre to develop and establish a psychoeducation-based group support for individuals struggling with emotional eating. Having been a part of the creation of a McGill-affiliated peer support service for folks experiencing disordered eating and body image issues, as well as knowing first-hand what it is like to suffer from an eating disorder, I am especially aware of the needs of the community and the importance of providing this vital service.
