Erika Baca
Intern Psychologist
Hello, I’m Erika. I see therapy as a space where you can bring your whole self – your struggles, your strengths, and your story. My goal is to offer a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where you can feel truly seen and supported. Together, we’ll explore the obstacles in your life, discover what matters most to you, and develop ways of moving forward that feel meaningful and sustainable.
I believe that each person carries within them the strength and wisdom needed to overcome challenges. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, tools, and a supportive space to help you reconnect with that inner resilience. Together, we will explore the difficulties you face, whether they are rooted in anxiety, relationships, or life transitions, and work toward meaningful change.
My approach is integrative and client-centered, with an emphasis on getting to the root of the issues you are facing. Together, we will look beyond surface-level symptoms to explore the deeper patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape your struggles. By combining practical strategies with meaningful reflection, the goal is not only to bring relief in the present but also to support lasting change and personal growth.
I draw from cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based practices, tailoring therapy to your unique needs. This means we may work on practical strategies to manage stress, explore the role of deeper life patterns and relationships, or focus on developing greater self-awareness and resilience. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with empathy and respect.
I specialize in supporting individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, self-esteem challenges, relationship issues, and major life transitions. I also have a deep interest in working with those experiencing cultural and language barriers, helping them strengthen their sense of belonging while honoring their personal identity and heritage.
My path into this field has been shaped not only by my academic background but also by personal and professional experiences in multicultural environments. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and I am currently in the process of becoming a member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ). Over the years, I’ve worked with diverse populations, which has strengthened my belief in the importance of equity, accessibility, and sensitivity in mental health care.
Outside of my professional role, I find balance and joy in dancing and drawing. These experiences enrich my life and inspire the creativity, energy, and compassion I bring into my therapeutic work.
