You don’t have to have it all figured out.
Many of the struggles people bring to therapy make sense — once you understand the context they developed in.
What shows up as anxiety, depression, disconnection, or difficulty in relationships is rarely random. It’s often the result of how your mind, body, and inner world have adapted to what you’ve experienced — including what happened, what was missing, and what you had to manage on your own.
At Healing Tree, we don’t focus on managing symptoms. We focus on understanding what’s underneath them — and helping you create change that actually lasts.
What We Help With
We work with adults navigating a wide range of struggles — from the everyday to the complex.
Many of these struggles are deeply connected — and you don’t need to know exactly where you fit to reach out. You can start wherever feels closest to your experience, and we’ll help you make sense of the rest.

How We Work
We take a trauma-informed, nervous system–aware, and depth-oriented approach to therapy — one that works with both the body and the inner world to understand what’s underneath your struggles, not just what’s showing up on the surface.
One of our primary frameworks is Internal Family Systems (IFS) — a well-researched, non-pathologizing model that understands the mind as made up of different parts, each carrying its own perspective, feelings, and protective role. IFS gives us a way to approach even the most difficult inner experiences — including the ones that feel hardest to be with — with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment.
We also integrate somatic and body-based approaches, polyvagal theory, and attachment theory — because lasting change happens at multiple levels, not just through insight and conversation.
We work at your pace. We don’t push you to go faster than you’re ready for. And we don’t believe in quick fixes — because we’ve seen what real, lasting change actually looks like.
Why Choose Us?
We work with people who have often felt misunderstood, misdiagnosed or dismissed — by the system, by previous therapists, or even by themselves. People who have been told their issues are too complex, too much, or too hard to treat. We work with what others sometimes shy away from — complex trauma, dissociation, neurodivergence, abusive relationship dynamics, eating and body image concerns. This isn’t territory we stumble into. It’s where we spend most of our clinical lives.
What makes us different isn’t just what we treat — it’s how we treat it.
We ask the questions that get to the root of things. We stay curious about what’s underneath, rather than settling for what’s on the surface. We are warm, direct, and honest — and we won’t tell you what you want to hear just to make the session comfortable.
Many of our clients have been to therapy before. What they tell us is that the difference here is that someone finally asked the right questions.
About Us
We are a small, close-knit group of therapists based in Kirkland, Quebec — each bringing different training, specialties, and areas of focus, united by a shared approach that is trauma-informed, depth-oriented, and genuinely invested in understanding what’s underneath your struggles.
Finding the right fit matters. We’ll help you get there.
Ready to Reach Out?
You don’t need to have everything figured out to take the next step.
If something here has resonated — or if part of you is simply tired of feeling this way — that’s enough.
The first step is a free consultation with our client care coordinator — a low-pressure conversation where you can ask questions, share what’s bringing you in, and get a sense of whether Healing Tree feels like the right fit.
You don’t need to be ready. You just need to reach out.
